Lee Sung-yeol, (Hangul: 이성열; hanja: 李成烈; born August 27, 1991), most often credited as Sungyeol, is a South Korean singer, actor, song writer, dancer and host. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Infinite under Woollim Entertainment and the leader of Infinite F.[1]

Biography

Lee Sungyeol was born and raised in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do on August 27, 1991. Sungyeol graduated from Daekyung University, majoring in Applied Music with fellow members Sungkyu, L, and Hoya. He has a younger brother named Lee Dae-Yeol.

Music career

Infinite

Sungyeol made his debut as a member of Infinite in 2010. Sungyeol was first introduced as a vocalist of boy band Infinite. The group official debuted in June 10, 2010.[2]

Infinite F

Sungyeol is the leader of Infinite F. Infinite F was officially announced at the One Great Step Returns encore concert, which consists of members Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong. There, they performed the song "My Heart is Beating". The unit would have their first official released on Infinite's 2nd album "Season 2" with titled song "Going Crazy". In November 19, 2014, they making their official debut in Japan with released single album, "Koi No Sign" and debut in Korea with released single album, "Azure" on December 2, 2014.

Acting career

Drama

Sungyeol made his debut as an actor in 2011 with the drama While You Were Sleeping. On October 21, 2013, Sung-yeol and Nam Ji-hyun were cast as main characters, shy boy Gi-yeok and popular girl Min-ah respectively in the web drama Please Remember, Princess. He has also starred in the KBS2 drama Hi! School-Love On alongside fellow Infinite member Nam Woo-hyun and rising child actress Kim Sae-ron. The 20 episode drama aired once a week on Fridays at 20:55KST from July 11 to December 19, 2014.[3][4][5][6] In May 2015, he was confirmed in the cast of the series D-Day.[7]

Voice Acting

Lee Sung-yeol and other members of Infinite dubbed children's cartoon Wara Store from December 27, 2011 to March 27, 2012 as themselves.
