Leimert Park is an under-construction light rail subway station in the Los Angeles County Metro Rail system. The station, located near the intersection of Crenshaw Blvd and Vernon Avenue in Leimert Park right near Leimert Plaza Park. It will be served by the Crenshaw/LAX Line. It is currently under construction and is slated to open in 2019.[1]
The Leimert Park station was funded and fully incorporated into the project in May 2013 after massive community support.[2]
