The modest forest tree frog, Leptopelis modestus, is a species of frog in the Arthroleptidae family found in Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Nigeria, and possibly Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, intermittent freshwater marshes, and heavily degraded former forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
