Lindsay Japal (born 1987) is a beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Cayman Islands 2011, was represented of the Cayman Islands in the 2011 Miss World and 2012 Miss Universe pageant.[1]
Early life
Japal was born in George Town, Cayman Islands. She is of mixed race - her mother is a full Caymanian (of European ancestry), while her father is a Grenadian who immigrated to the Cayman Islands in the early 1980s. She has an Associate degree in Business Administration from the University College of the Cayman Islands. She is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in Finance with a minor in Marketing from the University College of the Cayman Islands. Her motto is "As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, one for helping others."
Miss Cayman Islands
Japal was named as the grand winner of Miss Cayman Islands 2011 beauty pageant on 24 September 2011 at the Lion's Community Centre in George Town, Cayman Islands, by Cristin Alexander, Miss Cayman Islands 2010.[2]
She continued to hold the title through 2014 because a successor pageant had not yet been held.[3]
