Shilpa Singh is an Indian dancer, model and Beauty pageant titleholder. She hails from Samastipur district in the Indian state of Bihar.[1] She was the runner-up at I AM She – Miss Universe India 2012. She represented India at the Miss Universe 2012 pageant at Las Vegas and among the top 16.[2]
Professional life
Singh completed her B. Tech. in Computer Science from Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering, NMIMS university of SVKM, Mumbai. She works for Infosys Technologies.[3]
In October 2012, Singh replaced Urvashi Rautela, the original winner of I Am She 2012, who was found to be too young to compete.
Miss Universe 2012 Pageant
At the pageant, Singh was selected among the Top 16 semi-finalists and ended India's four year drought at Miss Universe.[4][5]
