List of Circle MRT Line station names

In an unprecedented move, the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) conducted a public consultation exercise over the internet as well as via survey forms to gather public feedback on the naming of stations on the first three stages of the Circle Line. The survey period was open from 26 March to 9 May 2004, and received 482 responses. As part of the consultation process, the LTA made one or more suggestions for each station, but also allows for the public to nominate additional naming suggestions.

On 6 July 2005, the LTA announced the results for the first consultation period, as well as launching the public consultation process for stages 4 and 5 of the MRT line from 6 July to 20 July 2005. Finalised names for stages four and five were released on 7 November 2005. The public consultation process for Thomson and West Coast stations started on April 17 to May 1, 2009, initially not under public consultation as they were scheduled to remain closed when stages 4 and 5 were opened, were also conducted. The finalized station names, Caldecott and Haw Par Villa respectively were announced on June 16, 2009.
