List of Philippine provinces by Human Development Index

This is a list of provinces of the Philippines, including Metro Manila, in order of their Human Development Index (HDI).

Methodology

The HDI values are provided by the Human Development Network (HDN) of the Philippines[1] and are correct as of 2008/2009.

Highs and lows

All provinces surrounding Metro Manila have a medium HDI value (0.500 – 0.799). Metro Manila, Benguet and Batanes already have high HDI values (>0.800). Tawi-Tawi has recently progressed from a low HDI value (<0.500).[1]
