List of carrier-based aircraft

Sqn. Cdr. E. H. Dunning makes the first landing of an aircraft on a moving ship, a Sopwith Pup on HMS Furious, August 2, 1917.

Carrier-based aircraft are designed for aircraft carrier flight deck operation. They include only those types which are based on and regularly operated from aircraft carriers. They exclude aircraft which only visit aircraft carriers, as well as those intended for use from seaplane tenders and submarines.

This list is incomplete; you can help by expanding it.
