Furry conventions are organized gatherings of furries. Below is a list of current and discontinued furry conventions for which reliable sources have been provided.

Active events are annual conventions that have been held over the last 12 months, and those scheduled for the next 12 months, where at least one reliable news source has discussed the convention as a whole.

Founded in 1997 in Albany, New York and moved to Philadelphia two years later, Anthrocon is currently the largest furry convention in the world, with 6,389 attendees in 2015.[2] It currently takes place at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, where it has been every year since 2006.[3][4]

Founded in 2004, Califur is the furry convention successor to the first Furry convention Confurence held in 1989. With over 1,317 attendees, Califur is the largest furry convention in Southern California. Located on the same grounds in Los Angeles as the Los Angeles County Fairplex, Califur has had many musical guests at the convention from Los Angeles radio station KROQ's line up for Weenie Roast which happens at the same time of year.[5][6]

(Formerly MiDFur) Beginning in 1999, a furry convention which takes place in Melbourne. The convention has social events, a dealers alley, a costume parade, a talent show and a gala ball. In 2010 it reached several hundred guests and raised $7771 for charity, and currently is the largest furry convention in Australia.[7][8][9][10]

Founded in 1995, this European convention has been held in Germany for seventeen of its twenty years. This unbroken span makes it the longest-running furry convention. Other hosted countries are Sweden, the Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. Managed by Eurofurence e.V., Eurofurence 20 hosted 2015 attendees and raised 21081 for Stiftung FLEDERMAUS in August 2014.[11][12][13]

Fur-Eh! is an annual Not-For-Profit convention hosted in Edmonton, Alberta. Features include dealer's den, fursuit games, fursuit parade, nightly dances, tabletop and video games and competitions, and a fursuit dance competition. Programming includes four dedicated tracks, including artistry, writing, fursuiting, and a "Go-Kart track".[14][15]

Furnal Equinox has aimed to promote their goal of showcasing the best local talent and attracting worldwide furry names by inviting two Guests of Honour to the convention every year, one from Canada and one from outside of Canada. The conventions fills the need of a major hotel-based Furry convention in the Toronto area.[16]

The only furry convention in Texas area. In its inaugural year, the convention sponsored the Center for Animal Research and Education (CARE). Some of the features that Furry Fiesta will have are games, an art show, a dealers den.[17][18]

Furry Weekend Atlanta has united furries from around the world for nine years. In 2012, Furry Weekend Atlanta had over 1900 attendees. Furry Weekend Atlanta has events for fursuiters, along with an art show and dealers.[19][20][21]

Fursoncon is a multi-genre accepting Furry convention. It will be the first full featured Furry convention hosted in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Join us for our first year on March 18–20, 2016, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. We will be partnering with our fellow E.S.S.I. event ROFCON and get two conventions for the price of one.[22]

Fur the ‘More is an annual 3-day furry convention. Inaugurated in 2013, it was the first of its kind in the Maryland & Virginia Area. The 2016 event hosted 990 attendees and raised over $5000 for their charity.[23][24]

Since 1999, Further Confusion has become the third-largest convention in the world, with over 3,500 attendees. Educational seminars and panels, art, and socializing are some events which occur at Further Confusion.[25][26][27][28]

One of the few furry conventions in the South. 2014 theme is B-movies. Mephit Furmeet has several convention events. Occurring on Labor Day weekend in the greater Memphis area, this convention sponsors Tiger Haven as its convention charity. 2010 marked the first year where Mephit Furmeet was held in Olive Branch MS. a suburb of Memphis. A yearly convention in the Chicago metro area which started in 2000 as a spinoff of Duckon, a Chicago-based science fiction convention. In 2009, Midwest Furfest celebrated its tenth convention, and had over 2,000 attendees who raised $12,799 for Kane Area Rehabilitation and Education for Wildlife.[33][34] In 2013, Midwest Furfest had over 3,900 attendees, making it the second most attended furry convention, raising $28,000 for One Tail at a Time, a no-kill dog shelter. In December 2014, a chlorine bomb was set-off at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare Hotel where the convention was being held. This attack led to 19 people being hospitalized and the evacuation of the facility.[35]

NordicFuzzCon is Scandinavia's largest furry convention, first held March 28th-31st, 2013 at Quality Hotel Winn Haninge in southern Stockholm, Sweden.[36]

Furry Migration is an annual furry convention that takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was first held on September 12–14, 2014 and is an event outreach of Minnesota Furs (MNFurs), a nonprofit organization created in 2012.[42]

The first exclusive furry convention since 1989, ConFurence was cancelled after holding its 15th edition in 2003 because its chairman, Darrel L. Exline, could not afford to run it anymore as organizing it took too much time, money, energy and also resulted in lost friendships.[43] [44]

The main furry convention for the Pacific Northwest since 1998, Conifur was cancelled in 2006 after its prior hotel was demolished in preparation for the Link Light Rail station at SeaTac Airport, which itself was a replacement after the Best Western in Fife, Washington took the convention's reservation for 2005, then quietly converted to the Emerald Queen Casino without refunding the convention. The convention had highest attendance in 2005 with 525 attendees. Conifur has been replaced by All Fur Fun in Spokane, and RainFurrest in the Seattle area.[45]
