Rukis Croax
Rukis or Rukis Croax is an American author and artist, primarily in the furry fandom, residing in South Carolina, USA.[1] She has published four novels and three comic books, as well as two art folios and numerous illustrations.
Novels
- Heretic (January 2013) ISBN 978-1-61450-113-8. Nine years before the events of Red Lantern, Luther Denholme's story begins.[2]
- Off the Beaten Path (July 2014) ISBN 978-1-61450-193-0. Shivah seeks revenge from her abusive and murderous husband. She is joined in her hunt by the two men who pulled her from the jaws of death, and a group of lawmen hunting a dangerous band of raiders threatening the countryside.[3]
- Lost on Dark Trails (January 2015) ISBN 978-1-61450-220-3. Following her journey in Off the Beaten Path, Shivah continues her hunt for the vicious raiders who destroyed her village and have since continued their reign of terror across the country.[4]
- The Long Road Home (July 2015) ISBN 978-1-61450-239-5. Shivah's journey continues, taking her not only across a country she never truly knew, but soon the oceans, as well.[5]
Comic books
- Cruelty (June 2010).[6] Published by FurPlanet, and debuted at Anthrocon 2010. At 44 pages, Rukis considered this a "practice comic". However, it sold out within the first day of the convention, and Rukis went on to create a sequel, Unconditional.
- Unconditional (June 2012) ISBN 978-1-61450-051-3.[7]
- Red Lantern: The Crimson Divine (March 2012) ISBN 978-1-936689-13-2.[8] Begun in 2009 and co-drawn by Alector Fencer, Red Lantern is planned to be made in four volumes. The second volume is currently being created with co-artist Myenia, and is released on Fur Affinity before its printed release.

- Instinct (March 2014) ISBN 978-1-61450-171-8.[9] Rukis first adult anthropomorphic art folio.
- Menagerie (July 2015) ISBN 978-1-61450-250-0. Adult anthropomorphic art by Rukis and Myenia.[10]
Rukis created the cover and interior art for Kyell Gold's Dangerous Spirits series of books, Green Fairy and Red Devil, as well as the illustrations for Love Match, a novel he is publishing on Patreon.[11]
Awards
Rukis' artwork for the cover of Kyell Gold's Green Fairy won the 2012 Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Published Illustration.[12]
Rukis' story Off the Beaten Path won the 2014 Ursa Major Award in the category of Best Anthropomorphic Novel.[13]
