This is a list of presidential and prime ministerial trips made by Vladimir Putin. During his presidency, which began with his inauguration on May 7, 2000, he has traveled to 50 different countries internationally as of March 2008, in addition to many more trips made domestically within Russia.

- February 10, 2007 – Working visit to Germany (Munich). Participation in the 43rd Munich Conference on Security Policy.
- January 11–12, 2007 – Official visit to Saudi Arabia (Riyadh). Signed several bilateral documents on cooperation in trade, economic, humanitarian and information fields.
- January 12, 2007 – Official visit to Qatar.
- January 13, 2007 – Official visit to Jordan. Adopted by the Cooperative statement on further deepening of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries signed several bilateral documents. President showed the source of John the Baptist, and he washed his hands in the waters of Jordan, visited the Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist.
- March 13–14, 2007 – working visit to Italy. Signing of several agreements and contracts. The first meeting between presidents of Russia and Pope Benedict XVI and the third visit of Putin to the Vatican.
- March 15, 2007 – working visit to Greece (Athens). Signing of the Trans-Balkan oil pipeline Burgas-Alexandroupolis.
- May 10, 2007 – Official visit to Kazakhstan (Astana). Approved a joint action plan for 2007–2008. Signed an agreement to establish the International Uranium Enrichment Center and the opening of branches of the trade missions.
- May 10–11, 2007 – Official visit to Turkmenistan (Ashgabat). The talks were the issues of cooperation between Russia and Turkmenistan in the energy, trade and humanitarian sphere.

President Putin has met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. He signed the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Community. In addition, Putin has conduct a separate meeting with President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.
- June 5 and 6 – Official visit to Paris and Deauville in France, as part of 70th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. Meet with leaders such as French President François Hollande; German Chancellor Angela Merkel; US President Barack Obama; Ukrainian President-Elect Petro Poroshenko; and British Prime Minister David Cameron.

- July 11 – As part of Official visit to South America he held a meeting with President of Cuba Raúl Castro and Fidel Castro in Havana, Cuba.

- November 15–16 – Participating in G-20 Annual Summit in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. During the summit Putin has meet the G-20 Leaders, especially with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and British Prime Minister David Cameron. He mate with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President François Hollande, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and BRICS Leaders (particularly Dilma Rousseff, Jacob Zuma) and invited them to 7th BRICS summit in July 2015 in Ufa, Bashkortostan.

- February 11 - Visit to Belarus. Meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, President of France François Hollande, and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
- February 17 - Official visit to Hungary.
- March 20 - Visit to Kazakhstan.
- April 24 - Visit to Yerevan, Armenia. Participating in memorial ceremony to commemorate 100 years since the Armenian genocide.
- June 9–10 - Visit to Milan and Rome, Italy and Vatican City, attended Expo 2015 in Milan with Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and met with President Sergio Mattarella in Rome and Pope Francis in Vatican City.[22]

- September 2-4 - Official Visit to Beijing, China, to participate in 70th anniversary of anti-Japanese Fascists war victory. Held a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping.
- September 14-15 - Trip to Tajikistan for CSTO summit.
- September 27-28 - Official Visit to New York, United States to participate in 70th Regular Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Held a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.
- October 2 - Trip to Paris for peace talks on Ukraine. Meeting with President of France François Hollande, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.
- October 14-16 - Trip to Astana for CIS summit.
