Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)
"Lollipop (Param Pam Pam)" is a song by Romanian recording artist Alexandra Stan from her debut studio album Saxobeats, which was released as her debut single in 2009. The song charted in her native county, and failed to reach peak positions elsewhere. After the worldwide success of "Mr. Saxobeat", the song was re-released for digital retailers in Belgium, France and the United States. The song samples "Fergalicious" by Fergie, and it was meet with bad reviews but with open doors for later songs. The French DJ David Guetta released on YouTube a mash-up of Stan's Lollipop (Param Pam Pam) and Akon's Sexy Bitch, called Sexy Lollipop. "Lollipop" contains digitally adapted saxophone samples, when Stan sings the song's phrase "...Param Pam Pam"
Music video
An accompanying music video was shot in March 2010 at the MediaPro Studios near to Bucharest, Romania. It gathered over 13.6 million of views on YouTube. It shows Stan together with two female dancers. They're all moving provocant in the video clip and licking lollipops. The music video was criticised, for being to "simply" and for having a "too small" budget.[2] The video in the length of three minutes and fifty-five seconds was released as a limited edition- DVD in the United States in early 2010. The record contains the HD quality Lollipop-video.[3]
