Męcina [mɛnˈt͡ɕina] is a village in the administrative district in the Malopolska province of Gmina Limanowa, within Limanowa County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) east of Limanowa and 61 km (38 mi) south-east of the regional capital Kraków.[1] In the years 1975-1998 the town administratively belonged to the province of Nowy Sacz. The village has a population of 3,248 as of 2013.[2]
Location
Męcina rests at the edge of the mountain called Łososińskiego.[3] In the middle of Męcina there is a stream called Smolnik. It is a tributary of a well known river called Dunajec, at the district road Limanowa-Chełmiec.The yellow trail leads to the mountain ridge of Łososińskiego.
