Malawi competed at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This was the nation's ninth appearance at the Olympics, excluding two occasions (the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, and the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow because of the African and United States boycott).

Three athletes from Malawi were selected to the team based on their wild card entries, without having qualified.[1] Among these athletes, swimmer Joyce Tafatatha became the youngest athlete in Malawi's Olympic history. Marathon runner Mike Tebulo was the nation's flag bearer at the opening ceremony. Malawi, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.
