Mandapadu is a village located in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh in India.
The village of Mandapadu is 18 kilometres (11 mi) north-west of the district headquarters of Guntur, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south south-west of Medikonduru, which is also its mandal, while the nearest village is Siripuram, which is located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north-west of the village. The distance from Hyderabad, the state capital, is about 250 kilometres (160 mi). Mandapadu has a railway station within the Guntur-Macherla section of the Repalle-Secunderabad line.
Mandapadu covers an area of about 1,500 hectares (3,700 acres), which are suitable for red chilies, paddy fields, and cotton cultivations. Its climate is tropical wet and dry climate and varies considerably, depending on the seasonal periods. July to September is the seasons for tropical rains, which play a major role in determining the climate of the village, and the village receives heavy rainfall from southwestern summer monsoons during these months. Summers last from March to June. The range of the average temperature is generally 18.6 °C (65.5 °F), during the winter, to 40 °C (104 °F) in summer. The average rainfall is about 889 millimetres (35.0 in).[1]
