The Mandarin Oriental Tower in Chicago, USA, is a canceled 74-story 930 feet (280 m) mixed use building which would have been the ninth tallest building in Chicago if completed, assuming Waterview Tower had also been completed as originally planned. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, which did not have an equity stake in the project, lent its name to the development. After completion, the group was to have managed the hotel located within the building.

This mixed-use building would have offered 250 "5-star" hotel/condominium guest rooms in the Mandarin Oriental hotel (floors 28-40), 100 resident units (floors 41-54), and 150 tower condominia (floors 55-74). All 500 units would have been offered for sale. The first 28 floors were to have held numerous facilities, including high-tech business and conference spaces, two ballrooms, two restaurants, boutique shops, valet parking, and a 32,000 square-foot (3,000 square meter) health club and spa.[4]

On February 18, 2009, a report in Crain's Chicago Business stated that a New York-based lender had filed a foreclosure suit against the developer, that the sales center was closed and that building units were no longer being marketed through the Multiple Listing Service. The project is no longer listed on the developer's website.
