Marian engineering college

Marian Engineering College is an engineering college in Trivandrum, India. The college was established in 2001, and is affiliated with the University of Kerala and ktu. The college is 49th position in kerala technical university for the results of s1 2015 .The college has become an institute for engineering studies in Kerala and is in the Self Financing sector. It is one of the engineering colleges in Kerala. The institute stretches over a 40-acre (160,000 m2) campus in the neighbourhood of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Technopark, and Kinfra Apparel Park.

The college is managed by the Trivandrum Social Service Society under the Trivandrum Latin Catholic Archdiocese. Approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi has been obtained for running the college.

The college started in August 2001 with the students selected through the entrance examination conducted by the Entrance Examination Commissioner, government of Kerala. AICTE approval, government sanction and Kerala University affiliation.[1] [2]

Courses

The college offers a B.Tech degree in the following courses:

Electronics & Communications The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 2001 with an intake of 60 students.

The department offers B. Tech courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Applied Electronics.

Laboratories

Computer Science & Engineering The course teaches hardware and software fields with prominence on the software sector. The students work on developing computer components and computer system specifications, designing and building products and circuit prototypes and testing and assembling hardware. They also analyse and design programs. Other than the main project, the syllabus includes seminars and a mini project.

Mechanical Engineering The Mechanical Engineering Department of Marian Engineering College is called the "Evergreen Branch". The college started a B.Tech Course in Mechanical Engineering in 2004.
