Mezzelune [ˌmɛddzeˈluːne] (from Italian, meaning "half moons"; also known as Schlutzkrapfen in Tyrol and German-speaking regions) is a semi-circular stuffed pasta, similar to ravioli. Ingredients typically include buckwheat flour, white flour, eggs, extra virgin olive oil, salt, Bitto cheese, milk, and white pepper for the filling, and porcini mushrooms, sweet butter, white wine, fresh parsley and thyme, and garlic for the sauce.[1]
