Miss Universe 1987, the 36th Miss Universe pageant, was held on 27 May 1987 at the Hall Four of World Trade Centre in Singapore. Barbara Palacios Teyde of Venezuela crowned her successor Cecilia Bolocco of Chile. 68 contestants competed in the pageant.

This was Bob Barker's final Miss Universe Pageant as host, he quit hosting both Miss USA & Miss Universe Pageants because Barker requested to the Pageants to stop having fur coats being awarded as prizes, but the Pageants refused to accept his request, so Barker resigned from hosting both Pageants.
