Career highlights

Mitchell "Mitch" Golby is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was taken at pick #16 in the 2010 Rookie Draft, after having played for Gippsland Power in the TAC Cup.[1]

He looked almost certain to represent Victoria Country in the U18 Championships but injured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament in a trial match. The Brisbane Lions drafted him midway through his rehabilitation from a knee reconstruction.

AFL career

Golby made his debut in Round 12, 2011 against Carlton.[2] Golby played a total of 56 games between 2011 and 2015, which included a 2012 Rising Star nomination. His form fell away in 2015 which he only managed 5 games. He was delisted at the end of the season.[3]
