Moubani Sorcar[1] is an Indian actress and painter.[2][3] She is daughter of magician P. C. Sorcar, Jr.[4] She made her film debut in 2009 with the film Badla.

Family History

Moubani is the second daughter of Magician PC Sorcar Junior. She have two sisters Maneka Sorcar, And Mumtaz Sorcar.

Education and Passion

Moubani Sorcar has studied at the Modern High School for Girls, in Kolkata. She has completed her Graduation as well as, her master's degree in Drama with hons, from Rabindra Bharati University. And then she has chosen film as her career, but her passion for dance and art, also magic makes her unique.

Career

She started her career with stage, modelling, television and finally films. This potentially strong actress made her film debut in 2009 with the film Badla. She has maintained the role of the heroine in her all movies. She is a classical Odissi dancer trained by Guru Muralidhar Majhi for 20 years. She has given performance all over the world. Her show in Presidency University, Kolkata was the first debut of her classical dance, where actor Soumitra Chatterjee and her father, mother and several eminent politicians blessed her. She gives prestigious shows in Paris and New York. Her performance was much acclaimed. Pandit V. Balsara commented on Moubani Sorcar that, her dance has a new language that can create waves among the new generation.

Moubani Sorcar has another talent. She is an excellent Painter, largely concentrating on portraits. Former president Bill Clinton of U.S.A wrote her that, she has excellent Painting Skills. She has now her own school Protiva, where she teaches coveted arts to her students. Now she is coming up very soon with her solo exhibition of paintings.
