Munkir the White Guardian is a demon lord in the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game.
Publication history
Munkir was one of many demon lords that was mentioned only by name in a list in the original Monster Manual II (1983).[1]
Munkir received further details in third edition in Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss (2006).[2]
Description
Munkir is a demon lord who, like his brother Nekir, is the lord of the afterlife, and the back door to Paradise.[2]
Relationships
Munkir and Nekir are depicted on the cover of Living Greyhawk Journal #3 battling Azor'alq at the gates of Heaven.
Realm
Munkir and Nekir share the Abyssal layer known as the Gates of Heaven.[2]
