Mursley United F.C. are a football club based in Mursley, near Winslow, Buckinghamshire, England. They currently play in the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two

History

The club was founded in 1947, and played in the local Saturday leagues.[1] The club won Division two of the North Bucks & District Football League in the 1963-64 season.[2] After missing the 1977-78 season the club was reformed as The Green Man and started playing in the local Sunday football league.[1] At the start of the 1993-94 season the club re-formed a Saturday side and started in the North Bucks and District League and won the intermediate division the next season.[3]

They joined the South Midlands League Division One in 1996.[4] The next season the Spartan South Midlands League merged with the Spartan League to form the Spartan South Midlands League and they were placed in Division 1 North, which became Division One the following season.[5] The 2001-02 campaign saw the club become champions of the lowwest division of the Spartan South Midlands League, now renamed Division two.[6] However, despite the championship win they were not promoted due to the lack of facilities at their ground.

The club since then has twice reached the Division Two cup final, but on both occasions has finished as runners-up.[7][8]

Ground

Mursley United play their games at The Playing Field, Station Road, Mursley MK17 0SA.

In June 2012 the ground won an award for having the best playing surface in Division Two of the Spartan South Midlands Football League.[9]
