Natasha Negovanlis (born April 3, 1990) is a Canadian actress, singer, writer, and YouTube personality. She is best known for playing the title role in the popular LGBT web series Carmilla.[1]
Career
Acting
Negovanlis studied voice performance at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. However, she decided to leave school during her third year to pursue an acting career, and four days after dropping out, she was cast in a professional musical. For this role, she was nominated in 2012 on BROADWAYWORLD.com for Best Female Performance in a Featured Role.[2] In 2015, she co-starred in the feature film Almost Adults.
Carmilla
In 2014, Negovanlis was cast as the title role in the Canadian web series Carmilla. In the series, which is based on the 1871 gothic novella of the same name, Negovanlis portrays the vampire Carmilla, who appears after her roommate's previous roommate vanishes. The series is popular online for its depiction of LGBT characters and has been viewed over 45 million times on the Vervegirl YouTube channel, which has since been renamed and rebranded as 'KindaTV.'

Natasha works for Shaftesbury Films and Smokebomb Entertainment on their flagship YouTube channel 'KindaTV'.
Personal life
As of June 2015, she became a contributor to AfterEllen.com, a lifestyle website for queer women.
In 2015, AfterEllen.com placed Negovanlis at #5 on their Hot 100 list of "the sexiest women chosen by women."[3]
Negovanlis has dated both men and women, but chooses not to label her sexuality.[4]
