Neredmet is the major suburb of Secunderabad, India.It is located in the North Eastern side of Hyderabad city.
The suburb has Residential townships. Adjacent suburbs include Sainikpuri, ECIL and Safilguda, A.S.Rao Nagar.

Etymology

The name Neredmet is derived from the Telugu words Neredu (Jambul trees) and Mettu (Steps). Before becoming an urban centre, Neredmet was a forest of Jambul trees and hence the name.
