"Next Best Superstar" is a song by British singer-songwriter, Melanie C. It was released on 4 April 2005 as the first single from Melanie C's third solo album, Beautiful Intentions. It was also the first single that Melanie C released where she didn't have a writing credit, as this song was solely penned by Adam Argyle. "Next Best Superstar" peaked at number-ten in the UK Singles Chart and went on to sell approximately 20,000 copies.
Music video
The video was directed by Ray Kay in January of 2005. The video begins with Melanie C getting ready for her performance. After having done make-up, she starts performing by herself. After the performance, she gets her make-up done again and starts performing again, this time with her band. The video premiered on CD:UK on 24 February 2005.
