Niles Township is one of twelve townships in Delaware County, Indiana. According to the 2010 census, its population was 1,360 and it contained 566 housing units.[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 29.61 square miles (76.7 km2), of which 29.49 square miles (76.4 km2) (or 99.59%) is land and 0.13 square miles (0.34 km2) (or 0.44%) is water.[3]
