Nurabad (Lurish and Persian: نورآباد, also Romanized as Nūrābād)[1] is a city in and capital of Delfan County, Lorestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 56,404, in 12,232 families.[2]

It is a mountainous city in the northwest of Lorestan province. It has a cold weather in winters and is one of the five cities in Iran more than 2,000 meters above sea level . The natural landscapes of this city, especially in winter and spring, are really beautiful. The people in this city speak Laki, which is one of the most dominant and important languages in the west of Iran.
