"Oh Uganda, May God uphold thee" is the Ugandan national anthem. It was adopted in 1962, with words and music by George Wilberforce Kakoma.^[1] The anthem is one of the shortest in the world, and is occasionally performed twice in a row to lengthen it.^[2]

The land that Feeds us By sun and fertile soil grown For our own dear land We'll always stand The Pearl of Africa's Crown.	Ewe Uganda! Mungu akutunze Tunaweka kesho yetu mkononi mwako. Pamoja kama watu huru kwa ajili ya uhuru Tutashikamana daima. Ewe Uganda! Nchi ya uhuru Tunakutolea upendo na kazi. Pamoja na majirani wetu Kwa wito wa nchi yetu Twaishi kwa amani na undugu.
