Parli is a city and a municipal council in Beed district in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra.
About
Parli is a renowned town in Beed District identified by Vaijnath Temple [1] (Jyotirlinga) & Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited Parli Thermal Power Station. Other Major Industries include Vaijnath Sugar Factory, Coromandal Cement factory and Ghawalkar Engine, Transmission and Motor Repair and Overhaul Facility.The Head office of Vaidyanath Co-Operative Bank is located in Parli.Parli is one of the jyotirlings, lord Shiva's most powerful places in India. One of the biggest fair in Maharashtra on Mahashivratri.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Parli had a population of 88,510. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Parli has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 60%. In Parli, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Transport
Parli Vaijnath railway station is a railway station on Secunderabad(SC) Division of South Central Railway (SCR). Three Railway lines emanate from this station. 1.Parli Vaijnath-Vikarabad (Secunderabad Division) 2.Parli Vaijnath-Parbhani(Nanded Division) 3.Parli Vaijnath-Parli Power Plant(Secunderabad Division) It has trains connecting to Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Manmad, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Khammam, Warangal, Aurangabad, Jalna, Parbhani, Purna, Nanded, Vikarabad, Zaheerabad, Bidar, Raichur, Guntakal Junction, Mumbai, Nashik, Dharmavaram, Bengaluru and Visakhapatnam.
