Patna Pirates is a Kabaddi team based in Patna, Bihar that plays in the Pro Kabaddi League. The team is currently led by Manpreet Singh and coached by Sanjiv Kumar Baliyan. They are champions of season 3.The team is owned by Rajesh Shah and play their home matches at the Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna.[1]

Franchise history

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is a professional kabaddi league in India, based on the format of the Indian Premier League T20 cricket tournament.[2] The first edition of the tournament was played in 2014 with eight franchises representing various cities in India.[3] Patna Pirates is a Patna based franchise owned by Rajesh Shah.[4]

2014 season

Patna Pirates finished fourth in the league stage. They lost in the semi-finals. After that they won the 3rd place playoff over Bengaluru Bulls, and they finished at third stage in first season.
