Paweł Mateusz Woicki (born 29 June 1983) is a Polish volleyball player, a member of Poland men's national volleyball team and Polish club Indykpol AZS Olsztyn, a participant of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008, European Champion 2009, bronze medalist of the World League 2011, Polish Champion (2011).
Personal life
He was born in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland. In 2008 he married to Joanna. In 2009 his wife gave birth to their son Mateusz.
Career
Clubs
In 2013 signed contract with Transfer Bydgoszcz.[1] After two years he decided to move to Indykpol AZS Olsztyn.
National team
In 2009 he achieved title of European Champion.[2] On September 14, 2009 he was awarded Knight's Cross of Polonia Restituta.[3] The Order was conferred on the following day by the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk. On July 10, 2011 he won with his national team the first medal of the World League for Poland in history. They won bronze medal after defeating Argentina.[4] On April 2, 2015 was appointed to the Polish national team by head coach Stephane Antiga.[5] After the training camp in Spała he went to team B of Polish national team led by Andrzej Kowal. He took part in 1st edition of 2015 European Games. He was a captain of Poland during this tournament.
