Habits of Learning
Pentucket is unique in that the juniors of the school do not take final exams. Instead, they each deliver a presentation to teachers and administrators showing their mastery of the district's "Habits of Learning," a collection of five traits students are encouraged to use in the learning process. These standards are emphasized throughout the district's elementary, middle, and high schools. The habits are:
- Thinking
- Collaboration
- Independence
- Communication
- Creative Exploration
In order to graduate, a student must deliver a satisfactory presentation, exemplifying their understanding of the habits and demonstrating how the habits have helped them to grow as learners.
