Piozzano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 150 kilometres (93 mi) northwest of Bologna and about 20 kilometres (12 mi) southwest of Piacenza. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 714 and an area of 43.5 square kilometres (16.8 sq mi).[1]
The municipality of Piozzano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Groppo Arcelli, Vidiano Soprano, Pomaro, San Gabriele, San Nazaro, Monteventano, Montecanino, and Canova.
Piozzano borders the following municipalities: Agazzano, Bobbio, Gazzola, Pecorara, Pianello Val Tidone, Travo.
