Play (Chinese: 呸; pinyin: Pēi) is the thirteenth studio album of Taiwanese female singer Jolin Tsai (Chinese: 蔡依林). It was released on November 15, 2014 by Warner Music Taiwan.[2] It was the best-selling female album of 2014 in Taiwan, with 75,000 copies sold in Taiwan.[3] The album garnered critical acclaim and was declared it as "easily the best album of the year".[4] The singles, "Play" (Play 我呸) and "The Third Person and I" (第三人稱), were the 2014 Hit FM Annual Top 100 Chart number one and number eight singles. The music video of "Play" became the most-viewed music video of Taiwan in 2014 and helped thrust her into the international spotlight. Nolan Feeney from Time magazine commented, "It might be the year's best pop music video."[5] The single, "I'm Not Yours", featured guest vocals from Japanese singer Namie Amuro.[6] Tsai was nominated for a Golden Melody Awards for Best Song of the Year for the single of "Play" (Play 我呸), and Best Music Video for the music videos of "Play" (Play 我呸) and "We're All Different, Yet the Same" (不一樣又怎樣), and won for Best Mandarin Album and Best Vocal Recording Album.
