The Pune Metropolitan Region is the region that consists of two municipal corporations and three cantonments of Pune Metro City. The population of the region as per 2011 census was 7,541,946 in May 2014.[1]
Jurisdiction
The Pune Metropolitan Development Authority (PMRDA) is the governing body of the Pune Metropolitan Region. The jurisdiction of PMRDA covers Maval, Pune, parts of Haveli, Bhor, Daund, Shirur, Mulshi, Khed talukas of Pune district.[1]
