SÅma Station (相馬駅 SÅma-eki) is a railway station operated by East Japan Railway Company in SÅma, Fukushima, Japan.
Lines
SÅma Station is served by the JÅban Line, and is located 307.0 km from the official starting point of the line at Nippori Station. However, due to damage to the line caused by the 2011 TÅhoku earthquake and tsunami, trains from SÅma Station are able to travel only as far as Haranomachi Station. Full services are not expected to resume until after 2017.
Station layout
SÅma Station has two opposed side platforms connected to the station building by a footbridge. However, at present platform 2 is not in use. The station has a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office.

History
The station first opened as Nakamura Station (ä¸æ‘駅) on 10 November 1897. It was renamed SÅma Station on 20 March 1961.[1]
