Salon (Hindi: सलोन), is a town and a tehsil as well as nagar panchayat in Raebareli district in the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Salon is located at 26°02′N 81°27′E / 26.03°N 81.45°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 110 metres (360 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Salon had a population of 13,166. Males constitute 51.30% of the population and females 48.70%. Salon has an average literacy rate of 49.54%. In Salon, 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
