Forty-two freedom fighters, who had fought against Pak army all day long, reached the village said freedom fighter Rashedul Hassan Bablu. Tired, they took shelter at the houses of Madhob Chandra Bhoumik and Samila Begum and fell asleep at night.
Local Rajakars, who came to know about their presence, guided the Pak army at Jhenidah Cadet College and Magura to Kamanna village. They retreated when freedom fighters from the nearest camp marched towards the spot and opened fire.
