In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the sheet phantom is a type of undead creature.
Publication history
The sheet phantom first appeared in White Dwarf #11 (February 1979). The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]
The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in the second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Fiend Folio Appendix (1992).[2]
The sheet phantom and sheet ghoul appeared in third edition in Dragon #276 (October 2000) in "Creature Codex: The Ecology of the Sheet Phantom".
Description
A sheet phantom is the undead manifestation of an evil person who died in bed, and is embodied in the bedsheets which covered the corpse.
