Stanari (Serbian Cyrillic: Станари) is a municipality and settlement in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in 2014. Until 2014, Stanari was part of Doboj municipality.

Geography

The municipality is located in the basin of the Ukrina river in the northern part of Republika Srpska.

History

The Stanari municipality was dissolved in 1958. The area was administratively part of the Doboj municipality[1] until 2014, when the Stanari municipality was re-created.[2]

Brestovo, Dragalovci, Jelanjska, Ljeb, Mitrovići, Osredak, Ostružnja Donja, Ostružnja Gornja, Radnja Donja, Raškovci, Stanari, Cvrtkovci and Cerovica.

Demographics

According to the preliminary results of the 2013 census, there were 1.123 inhabitants in the settlement of Stanari. According to the same results, the municipality had 7.283 inhabitants. The settlement, in the previous Yugoslav censuses, showed an ethnic Serb predominance (1.204 of 1.299, in 1991).
