This is a list of highways of the New Zealand state highway network, which is administered by the New Zealand Transport Agency.

These roads are under the control of the NZTA, but are not signposted as state highways. Many of them are former state highway routes that have been bypassed, but the state highway status has yet to be revoked.

Future
The following state highways are approved to be commissioned as brand new state highways, either reusing old designations or as a brand new designation. The official state highway number may yet to be confirmed.
