Stefan Hierländer (born February 3, 1991 in Villach, Carinthia) is an Austrian professional association football player. He plays as a midfielder, currently with 2. Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in Germany.

Career

He started his football career in his local club SV Greifenburg and played 2002 till 2007 for SV Spittal/Drau. From 2008 until 2010 he played for Austrian Football Bundesliga side SK Austria Kärnten. His first match in the first squad was on March, 18th 2009 versus SK Sturm Graz. He came in in minute 57 for Manuel Weber. Because Kärnten got no license for the season 2010/11 Hierländer signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg.

On 31 May 2014, he signed a two-year contract with RB Leipzig.[1]
