The Fleshlight is a brand of male masturbator. It is used by inserting the male penis in its opening.[1][2] Fleshlights are sold in various forms including artificial vaginas or artificial anal openings. Fleshlight is primarily marketed to heterosexual men.
Product history
The Fleshlight was designed by Steve Shubin[3] who was granted a patent in 1998 for his invention, as a "device for discreet sperm collection",[4] and is marketed by Interactive Life Forms.[5] It consists of an inner masturbation sleeve which consists of flesh-like material while the external plastic case that houses the sleeve is fashioned to look like an oversized flashlight. The masturbation sleeve is available with vulva, anus, or mouth orifices, and comes in colors of flesh from a variety of ethnicities, as well as see-through, and 48 different internal textures.[6]
In 2011, the company that manufactures Fleshlight sent a complementary package of its products to the members of the SEALs team that killed Osama bin Laden.[7]
