Surinder Singh Nijjar (born 7 June 1949) is a former judge of the Supreme Court of India.[1] J. Nijjar was formerly the Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court. J. Nijjar is a known name in the field of arbitration law, having delivered many landmark judgments like BALCO, Enercon India v. Enercon Gmbh, Reliance Industries Ltd & Ors. v. Union of India, Swiss Timing Ltd. v. Organising Committee, Commonwealth Games, 2010.

Education

J. Nijjar obtained LLB Degree from the University of London in 1972.

Middle Temple
