Svetlana Tanasić

Svetlana Tanasić (Serbian Cyrillic: Светлана Танасић, alias "Big Mama"),[1] born on September 16, is a Serbian singer who had years of experience in singing at private parties and celebrations before gathering the courage to apply for the auditions for Zvezde Granda 2008/2009 singing contest. As she was short-listed to the 36 final contestants out of almost 15,000 who applied, her debut on the stage marked the whole season as her interpretation of the worldwide famous Gypsy song "Djelem, djelem" brought all the audience and the jury to their feet.[2]

After nine months of competing and the total of 17 eliminatory rounds of public voting, Svetlana Tanasic, although the oldest contestant in all seasons so far, finished the competition at the overall fourth place and as the best placed female singer in the season.

The first recorded song "Ne plasi me" was made by Bane Vasic (music), S. Ostojic - Ozzy (lyrics)and Bane Vasic/Igor Kokic (arrangement).
