Totororo Secondary School is a school in Empress Mine Ward of Kwekwe District in the Midlands Province of Zimbabwe.
Location
The school is located along the gravel road Somalala-Sidakeni Road, a link road to the Kwekwe-Gokwe Highway. It is 64 km NWN of Kwekwe and 48 km SW of Kadoma by air.

Operations
The school offers secondary co-educational services from Form 1 to 4 over four years.
Pupils start school at least in their 13th year of age and graduate from this school in their 18th year at most.[2] The school offers Literature in English, Mathematics, Integrated Sciences, English Language, Religious Studies, History, Geography, Commerce, Shona Language and Agriculture subjects.
ChiShona
Shona language is the favorite here because of the inspiration by one of Zimbabwe's leading Shona-novelist who lives only about a kilometre northwest of the school. Morgan Mahanya has 13 novels:
- Rufufu runobereka rufu (ISBN 978-0582612778) is a 54-page Shona novel published by Longman in association with the Rhodesia Literature Bureau. Released on 18 October 1976.[3]
- Mazvokuda mavanga enyora is a 1978 13 page Shona fiction (with illustrations) published by Rhodesia Literature Bureau [4]
- Muroyi roera kure (Bad behaviour
should be practised far from home.) is a 1978 16 page Shona fiction (with illustrations) published by the Rhodesia Literature Bureau. OCLC 9543824
- Ndomene Haichemedzi is a Shona crime and detection series published by the Literatire Bureau in 1980. OCLC 8487164
- Chidamwoyo (ISBN 978-0869222164) is a 42-page Shona novel published by Mambo Press in
association with the Zimbabwe Literature Bureau and released in 1983.
- Zvinoyera (ISBN 978-0869224649) is a 167-page Shona novel published by Mambo Press and released in 1989.
- Chinotanga mberi mashura; an 80-page Shona novel published by Mambo Press in association with the Zimbabwe Literature Bureau. The book was released in 1985. (ISBN 978-0869222867)

A number of Morgan Mahanya's works has used as primary sources for Shona language related researches.
- Morgan Mahanya is mentioned as one of the respondants to a questioneer by student William Lungisani Chigidi (student number 650-426-4)when he was preparing The Emergence and Development of the Shona Detective Story as a Fictional genre in Zimbabwean Literature, a dissertation submitted in accordance with the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts in the subject African Languages at the University of South Africa. (30 November 1997)[11]
- Morgan Mahanya's 1976 novel published by LongmanRufu runobereka rufu was one of the primary sources in a dissertation by Livingstone Makondo (student number 4310-994-2) An investigation into anthroponyms of the Shona society submitted in accordance with the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Literature and Philosophy in the subject African Languages at the University of South Africa. (June 1979)[12]
- Morgan Mahanya's 1992 novel Matsvanwoyo was extensively quoted as a primary source in a dissertation: The theme of protest in the post independence Shona Novel by Mickson Mazuruse (student number 4310-988-8); submitted in accordance with the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts in the subject African languages at UNISA. (November 2010).[13]
'Munzwa Mundove', 'Chinotanga Mberi Mashura' and 'Rufu Runobereka Rufu' are school setbooks for GCE A Level Shona language.[14]
