Transformers: Dark of the Moon (toy line)

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is a film which has an associated toy line released in 2011 by Hasbro (Takara Tomy in Japan).[1] The film, and thus the toy line, is based on the original Transformers media franchise. The first toy in this line is Cyberverse Commander Optimus Prime, which was released on March 2011. The official launch date of the toy line was May 16, 2011.

The toy line was followed by the Movie Trilogy line in 2012.

Mech Tech Weapons System

Mech Tech Weapons System is a gimmick available on selected Deluxe, Voyager, Human Alliance and Leader Class figures. Each figure comes with an oversized blaster that transforms into a different weapon using a spring-loaded mechanism. Only the Voyager Class, Deluxe Starscream's, and Deluxe Laserbeak's weapons have locking mechanisms to keep their secondary forms in place. In addition, the figures have multiple hardpoints on their body panels to place their weapons anywhere or add more weapons for enhanced customization.

Cyberverse

Cyberverse is a new sub-line in this toy series.

Legion Class

Formerly known as Legends Class, Legion Class figures are smaller (about 3 inches tall) versions of the film franchise's characters. All figures are new molds except where indicated.[2]

Commander Class

A replacement of the Scout Class line, the Commander Class toys are small-sized (about 4 inches tall) figures; many with simple transformation.[3]

Action sets

Aside from the individual figures, there are special sets that include a Legion or Commander Class figure with a transformable vehicle accessory.

Voyager Class

Voyager Class figures are larger (about 8 inches tall) and more detailed than the Deluxe Class toys. Like the Deluxe Class figures, Voyager Class figures feature Mech Tech weapons. All figures are new molds except where indicated.

Supreme Class

Supreme Class Jetwing Optimus Prime is a Japan-exclusive retool of the Revenge of the Fallen Leader Class Buster Optimus Prime figure with jet pack parts that are more film-accurate than the Ultimate Optimus Prime figure. Included in the package is a collectible coin.

Ultimate Class

Ultimate Class figures feature a higher level of detail, articulation and gimmicks than Leader Class figures. Currently, Optimus Prime is the only figure offered in this line. This Prime figure features a trailer that transforms into his power armor.

Human Alliance

Human Alliance consists of a figure with a poseable 2.25" driver figurine that fits on the figure's seats or can be posed to man the figure's auxiliary weapons. The Basic Human Alliance figures are triple-changers, wherein they transform from vehicles to robots or large weapons that can be held by Voyager or Leader Class figures. In the case of Thunderhead and Crosshairs, they transform into power suits that their driver figurine can pilot and in case of Drag Strip, he transforms into a shield that his driver figurine can pilot.
