Undavalli is an outgrowth of Tadepalle Municipality in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located in Tadepalle mandal of Guntur revenue division.[2][3] The village is a part of the new capital, Amaravati.[4] Undavalli Caves which signifies Monolithic Indian rock-cut architecture are present at this place.

Geography

Undavalli is located at 16°29′45″N 80°34′48″E / 16.4957°N 80.5800°E / 16.4957; 80.5800.[5] It has an average elevation of 24 m (79 ft). It is situated on the south bank of Krishna River.

Government and politics

Undavalli gram panchayat is the local self-government of the village. The elected members of the gram panchayat is headed by a sarpanch.[6] The sarpanch of the villages was awarded Nirmala Grama Puraskaram for the year 2013.[7]

Transport

Krishna Canal railway station is the nearest railway station to Undavalli. It is connected to Vijayawada by Prakasam Barrage road.
