History
Upper Halliford Halt was opened on 1 May 1944 by the Southern Railway to serve a nearby wartime factory (British Thermostat Company). The second platform was opened on 6 May 1946.[1]
Services
The weekday off-peak service from the station is:
- 2 trains per hour to London Waterloo via Kingston, Wimbledon and Clapham Junction
- 2 trains per hour to Shepperton.
Monday to Friday, four additional early morning rush-hour trains to Waterloo are routed via Twickenham and Richmond. Three additional evening rush-hour trains from Waterloo arrive via that route.
The Saturday service is as on other weekdays without the extra services routed via Twickenham. On Sundays the service is hourly which starts later and finishes earlier than on weekdays.[2]
Its building is for maintenance so instead a ticket machine is provided. A footbridge links the platforms.
